Op. 139 begins with an easy level of pieces and gradually increases to a moderately difficult level. Some of the technical devices in these pieces include: right-hand melody with left-hand accompaniment; diatonic and chromatic scalar and arpeggio figurations; syncopated melodies and trills. Czerny --100 studies
I absolutely love this study book. The studies are not too hard, but challenging enough to be interesting. I play for enjoyment and I certainly enjoy these pieces. I find them tuneful and satisfying. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this book.
