Etudes Galore
This third book puts the material learned in the first two to the test. The intermediate etudes serve as exercises in style and articulation. The vocalise studies and low-note etudes help improve phrasing and beauty of tone in the medium and lower registers. Rhythmic etudes challenge counting ability in a wide array of time signatures. Combined, these are the counterpart to the Art of Phrasing in Arban's Complete Method.The ten concert duets are for fun and musicality. The method concludes with 15 challenging, advanced etudes. The first 12 work through the circle of fifths using a ternary form of major key to parallel minor back to major key. In contrast to Arban's, these are not just barrages of equal note values; instead, they demand excellence in rhythm and tone even at practice tempos. Any Grade 4 audition jury could use these advanced etudes for selection.

A Fun Method Book
I have not as yet made my way completely though the Allen Vizzutti Method Book 3.I nevertheless believe it to be a very helpful, 'fun' method of practising. I particularily like the Vocalise Studies & Low-Note Etudes section. I should mention that I am using it not only for improving my skills on a Cornet but also on my Euphonium.
