Excellent Method from a Virtuoso

This book is the most important of the three parts of the Vizzutti trumpet method. All of them begin with the same reminders on how to practice and warm up. The first four sections are long tones (for beauty), lip flexibilities (for strength), technical studies (for better reading), and finger flexibilities (for agility). The next section on single, double, and triple tonguing focuses on developing the T and K syllables without holding back demands on the fingers (quick runs) or mind (quintuplets). The final section on upper register is similar to Vizzutti's little book High Notes.Overall, this is a fantastic method more trumpeters should use. Any student who has thoroughly completed a beginner's method can benefit in conjunction with the Arban's Complete Method (has ornament studies this method series lacks along with fantastic studies in the back). Advanced players will find plenty to practice without a doubt.
