Deepens Harmonic Understanding for Accompaniment
While primarily focused on solo improvisation, this guide is fantastic for collaborative pianists. A strong grasp of scales over chords directly translates to more insightful and creative accompaniment choices. Understanding how different modes and harmonies function provides a richer palette when supporting a soloist, be it instrumental or vocal. The detailed theory and application examples help elevate my interpretive skills significantly.

Johnson & Parks - Scales Over Chords
Give it ten stars. Puts theory in plain english and provides self learning in an organized manner. There is a lot of information. I have not got to the audio portion just yet. I had learned major and minor scales in all twelve keys but there are more key patterns to learn. It is providing me just what I needed. thanks klh
