My students are enjoying these jazz pieces. The melodies are catchy with great rhythms that are not overwhelmingly difficult to master.

Challenging - mix of fast and slow
Play this book on a day where you have eaten healthy, with no junk food brain haze - but with a bit of caffeine in your system. The songs require alertness and a lot of concentration for the unusual harmonies in the slow pieces, and for the unexpected rhythms in the fast pieces. Hand Battle will have you stopping to blink at many places, and trying over and over until you get it right. Pineapple Woman alone is worth the price of the book.
