True to form Schirmer
This is the perfect collection of all beautiful 4 Ballades in one place. Advanced, but much more manageable (fir me) than the etudes and scherzi. Enough interpretive cues and fingering to be helpful, but not overdone. Nice dark, bold, easy to read print. Great price for a nice edition. I have Schirmer publications that are nearly 40 years old, and still hold up beautifully!

A must-have!
Great value for these 4 beautiful pieces, and a great Schirmer edition, which seems to have fewer interpretive cues than in the past, which I prefer. All this gorgeous music for such a low price. What are you waiting for?

One of my favorite works
I have been playing the piano for 11 years and I'm a 14 year old Freshman in high school. I got this edition for Christmas and always thought that Schirmer editions would be hard to read, but I was obviously wrong! I also really like the footnote commentary. I was considering getting just a solo, but with the low price and great options for fingering, it's something you can't pass up!

Excellent
Interesting introduction. We ordered this book for the ballade in the pianist and we are pleased with the other three works also included. My son plays at our church, and he already played one for the offertory to much praise. I enjoy listening to him practice, it will take him some time to master these pieces but it is well worth it. Full score, this is exactly what we were hoping it would be.
