Nope
With a little encouragement and proper teaching techniques the student can easily transition into Grade One of the Thompson series without this monstrosity of a sequel (which isn't a Thomson book, by the way). I have no idea where this world rate on a scale of beginner books but the rhythms and fingerlings make absolutely no sense for ANY pianist. I had the misfortune of trying this with one of my students and she's never recovered. I had to move her into the Noona series because she was afterward terrified of the Thompson. She had done well with Teaching Little Fingers, but that next one confused her and ruined the Thompson series for her forever. Skip it. Please. Don't subject your students to this terrible book
