Grus, the Crane is one of the four Southern Birds, along with Pavo, Tucana and Phoenix. The shape of the constellation represents the long neck and legs of the crane. Because of its rather stark, angular physique I have used intervals of fifths and octaves, in particular the series of notes commonly known as the Circle of Fifths. Late Intermediate Piano Solo.
