Excellent Resource for Intermediate Jazz Students
This "Coffee Table Jazz" collection is fantastic for my intermediate to advanced students. The Brent Edstrom arrangements offer great exposure to diverse jazz styles, perfect for developing rhythmic understanding and stylistic nuance. Engraving is clear, and the included chord symbols are a bonus for introducing improvisation. A solid addition to any teaching library!

Versatile Solo Piano for Inspiration
As a vocal coach, while this is a piano solo collection, the "Coffee Table Jazz" arrangements are highly adaptable. The texture features smooth melodies with solid harmonic support, providing excellent models for vocalists to understand jazz phrasing. Reliable Repertoire for Gigs
Grabbed "Coffee Table Jazz" for my gig bag. The Hal Leonard Jazz Piano Solos series always delivers. Arrangements are solid—classic tunes like "Good Morning Heartache" are well-represented with clean, accessible harmony. Chord symbols are spot-on, making quick improvisation easy. A few page turns to manage, but overall, a very dependable book for events.
