From Suite Bergamasque. Composed by Claude Debussy. Arranged by Allan Small. Masterworks; Piano Solo; Solo; Solo Small Ensembles. Simply Classics Solos. Impressionistic; Masterwork Arrangement. Score. 4 pages. Alfred Music #00-12891. Published by Alfred Music (AP.12891).ISBN 9780739010525. UPC: 038081116990. English.
Simplified Masterwork Solo version of one of Debussy's most popular piano works. This ethereal, flowing section of Suite Bergamasque is diatonic and displays a conventional harmonic vocabulary, transposed to the Key of C. The title, Clair de lune, suggests a relationship to Paul Verlaine's eponymous poem, describing a vision of long-dead dancers in the moonlight. The music transmits the otherworldly, transparent, and impalpable qualities of the experience while maintaining clarity and definition. Perfect for the burgeoning late elementary pianist.

This is only 2 pages
First of all this is only 2 pages of music. It says 4 pages but don't be fooled. I bought this for my daughter's recital because she liked this song, and it seemed to be at her level. It turned out to be a very simple version and not as challenging as I had hoped. [...]

easy to play
This piece is arranged in the Key of C, and, if you are already quite familiar with it, the 'intricate melodies and rhythms' won't be difficult for you. So I wouldn't call it early advanced as labeled, but early intermediate. There are parts of the piece missing, but you get a pleasing short version that retains the flavor of the original. I can't play the original version, but could sight read this.
