The Thunderbird is the spirit of thunder and lightning, believed by Native Americans to take the shape of a great bird. It is also the symbol of the North Vancouver Youth Band who commissioned this march to commemorate their fi ftieth anniversary. It is a march rich in rhythms and melodies, and everyone in the band has something exciting to play. A great way to open your concert.

L'oiseau-tonnerre (thunderbird, en anglais) est une creature legendaire, commune a plusieurs cultures amerindiennes. Il est le plus puissant des esprits. On raconte que lorsqu'il deploie ses ailes, le tonnerre eclate et la foudre jaillit de ses yeux. Thunderbird explore l'univers des tonalites majeure et mineure dans une trame d'une grande richesse rythmique et melodique. Un veritable coup de foudre musical !
L'uccello del tuono, creatura delle leggende dei nativi americani, e un enorme uccello carnivoro, o secondo alcuni studiosi, semplicemente un condor di dimensioni fuori dal comune. Robert Buckley esplora nel suo Thunderbird la tonalita maggiore e minore in una trama di grande ricchezza ritmica e melodica. Un vero colpo di fulmine musicale.
