The Times - Euphonium & Tuba Quintet Euphonium Trio - Sheet Music

Low Brass (3 Euphoniums, 2 Tubas) - Level 5

SKU: BZ.ENMS-84174

Composed by Hiroki Takahashi. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 7:30. Bravo Music #ENMS-84174. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84174).

Commissioned the bari/tuba group "Saitama Teion's Club" for their 10th anniversary concert and premiered at the Nerima Culture Center in May 2008. Since the theme of the concert at that time was "until now and from now on", I decided to make a work that uses the present, the past, and the future.
"Present" is bright, "Past" is somehow nostalgic and emotional, and "Future" is full of anxiety and hope.
I hope that players and audience can apply it to their past, romances, life, etc.
The 3rd movement (Future) is technically challenging to reflect the commissioning message of "I wish to push the limits".
(Hiroki Takahashi).
