Composed of two pieces of music, this work contrasts two titles, "Earth Dance" and "Heaven's Prayer." In "Earth Dance", a primitive folk "festival" landscape is the image, with secular rites and joy. "Heaven's Prayer" expresses the sublime with a phrase inspired by "Sanctus", beyond human experience. In the first half of the Allegro, rhythm and tempo are very important, so it's best to play well without depressing the momentum. After Andante in the latter half, it is better to prioritize phrase and harmony and express dynamic and timbre changes, and create a smooth continuity. (Kei Misawa).
