If taught correctly...
This is an excellent book for learning scales and arpeggios for late elementary on up. However, it can also be used with the musical semi-literate beginners also, if taught with patience, starting hands separately. Teachers should reinforce music theory principles while teaching from this book so there is understanding of keys and the circle of fifths.
