Excellent for Advanced Jazz Students

Insights into Jazz Harmony, Not Direct Accompaniment
This Brad Mehldau collection offers incredible insights into his harmonic language and improvisational style. While the note-for-note piano texture is brilliant, it's a solo piano transcription, not an arrangement explicitly designed for vocal accompaniment. A vocal coach could certainly study it for jazz harmony ideas, but it would require significant adaptation to effectively support a singer without overshadowing them.
