What I was looking for

I was looking for a decent score for this concerto and this is great for the price! It's minimalistic which I always appreciate in a score. One thing to note is that there is no fingering suggestions but anyone who is capable of playing this piece should be able to figure them out and write them in as needed.

fantastic shosty piece.

This is such an interesting concerto and has a military band sound to it. One day I will perform it with an orchestra, but having a copy is great as it's not in public domain! This book is printed better than any other IMC edition I own. I haven't had too much of a problem with keeping the book open on the piano.

Shostakovich Was The Man!

This concerto is easily one of the most fun piano concertos to play in the repertory. Shostakovich was a genius. The Hanon scales in the 3rd moment are awesome and sarcastic Russian musical humor at it's best. On a difficulty scale this piece is difficult. It doesn't fit well under the hands like other concertos can. But what a show piece to perform. This edition has great print and paper quality is nice. One thing I don't get is why advanced pianist trip out when an advanced piece doesn't provide fingerings. If you've been playing for more than five years you should know how to work out your own fingerings.

Great Edition!

This edition of the piece is an excellent print! It's extremely easy to read the notes on the pages due to the large print. My only problem with this edition is that there aren't any fingerings to go off of (and this piece can have your fingers tied up pretty easily). Otherwise, its flawless, and a great price as well!

Fantastic work, and a fantastic edition to boot.

I was highly impressed with the presentation of this piece by this publisher. Although it lacks any kind of suggestion of fingering, it is overall a fantastic edition. The only issue I had is the binding which takes quite a bit of work to keep from closing while trying to practice with the music.
