Great Selection of Music, sloppy editing.
The selection of music in this book is great, particularly in that each piece seems to emphasize a different skill. However, the editing is unbelievably sloppy, particularly with regard to key signature and accidentals. No rules seem to be followed at all, which is true to this whole series. For instance, on page 45 of this book, on the fourth page of Clementi's Sonatina in D Major measure 49 has a sharp sign for middle C in the bass clef. Measure 50 has a sharp sign for the F at the top of the treble clef. Why? Is the first one because there is a C natural in measure 48 2 lines above the treble clef? That makes no sense at all. There isn't an F natural in this piece until measure 54. These kinds of mistakes, which are throughout all the books in this series, are kind of infuriating. They make the reader think they've missed something or perhaps been making mistakes all along. It makes no sense and is kind of inexcusable.
