Fantastic 20th Century study for advanced students
I purchased this because I wanted to give an advanced student of mine (heading for a conservatory) a solid introduction to Prokofiev's style, and 20th century music in general, without getting bogged down by huge pieces or technical hurdles (he's inevitably drawn to hyper-virtuosic stuff). These pieces are not really children's pieces. Perhaps a young student can play the notes, but musically, they demand every ounce of clarity and expression a pianist can muster. Awesome little set, versatile and varied, and small enough that an advanced student can learn the whole thing (great for a recital, too!).On a more mundane note, the score is clean and beautiful.

Very good edition for very nice pieces
As stated in the title, this edition of Music for children by Prokofieff is very clear to read. The pieces are really enjoyable by children (and adults too). While I consider these pieces not suitable for absolute beginners, an early intermediate piano player could face them without struggle. And, of course, a well trained pianist could appreciate and better render this beautiful music.
