In a Miller Mood - medley of "Moonlight Serenade" and "In the Mood" arranged by Bryan Kidd

“Moonlight Serenade” and “In the Mood” — these two of the Big Band Era's most popular and fondly remembered songs come from the famous, wildly successful and long-admired Glenn Miller Orchestra. Both songs are evocatively nostalgic and compelling calls to the dance floor for not only the "Greatest Generation," but the modern-day terpsichorean as well.

For "Moonlight Serenade," arranger Bryan Kidd has retained the lush and beautiful full-orchestra stylings of Major Glenn Miller's famed Army Air Force Orchestra. And then he updates the oft-heard "In the Mood" with a fun and jitterbug-inducing romp (if dancing is permitted in the aisles, that is) showcasing the orchestra's hep cat sizzling soloists swingin' away on their "axes" (tenor sax, trumpet, and piano, that is).
