Too much violin, not enough celli
This arrangement isn't bad, it's just that the violin has all the melodies while the cello is more like a metronome/drone, and only gets the melody at the end. (Coming from the violinist herself)

Excellent arrangement
In spite of the restrictions inherent in writing for only two voices, this arrangement achieves a lovely, full sound. It is very true to the original and provides interesting parts for both instruments. It is a great addition to our duo's gig repertoire.

This is a great duet arrangement, and is very true to Elgar's original.

You may need to rewrite a bit
Nice arrangement, given that it's only two instruments. The section from measures 35 to 42 sounded pretty strange to us. We made a cut and wrote a violin solo in measure 42 leading to the recap of the melody. We also changed the cello part in measures 63-5 to pizzicato, and we altered the ending so the cello plays two pizz chords while violin holds the high D.
