Solid, Faithful Solo Piano Arrangement
This intermediate solo piano arrangement of 'Linus and Lucy' is quite good for its level. Mona Rejino's take captures the essence of Guaraldi's original, making it instantly recognizable for requests. At just 3 pages, the page turns are manageable for a gig. It's standard notation with fingerings, which is helpful, though I would have appreciated explicit confirmation of chord symbols for quick charting.

Great Solo Piece, Not Ideal for Vocal Accompaniment
While Mona Rejino's intermediate arrangement of Vince Guaraldi's 'Linus and Lucy' is a delightful and accurate solo piano piece, it’s clearly designed for instrumental performance. The texture features melodies in both hands and complex rhythms, making it quite self-sufficient but not well-suited as a light vocal accompaniment or for teaching voice-leading to singers directly. Excellent for instrumental study or enjoyment, however.

Finally, the Peanuts Theme I've Been Looking For!
I've always wanted to play 'Linus and Lucy' from the Peanuts TV specials, and this arrangement is fantastic! Mona Rejino really captured the fun, jazzy feel. As an intermediate player, the SMP Level 5 feels just right – challenging enough with those seventh chords and syncopations, but definitely achievable for a weekend player. It sounds just like the record, which is exactly what I wanted. So much fun to play!
