Just upfront the cover shown on the site does not match the cover of the book I received. This is no big deal as obviously the publisher printed a different cover. This book is for those who are interested in early German Baroque music predating J.S. Bach. There are lots of Toccatas, Fantasies and Ricercares, etc. The printing is clear, easy to read and the pieces are not nearly as challenging as the Bach repertoire. Also, the music of this time period was not specified to be played on any particular instrument other than keyboard. This means one can play these pieces on the piano or organ. However, there are some pieces that absolutely require the use of a pedal board, whether pedalklavier or organ.
