I doubled the 2nd violin with the viola and the cello with the bass. This was done to accomodate string ensembles that might have incomplete instrumentation while still allowing all of the parts to be covered. Scored in G major with a modulation to C major, then back to G major. I also included some pizzicato. I hope you and your students enjoy rehearsing and performing this classic Christmas tune.
