The 1566 madrigal "Vestiva i colli" from Palestrina’s fifth book appears here in a chamber trio arrangement following the model of Bartolomeo de Selma y Salaverde (1638). The violin presents the bright, singing soprano line with clear lightness, the violoncello weaves alto and tenor in warm, resonant timbre—sometimes octaved, sometimes alternating to keep the polyphonic imitations alive. The harpsichord supplies a restrained basso continuo foundation.
