Das 1566 erschienene Madrigal „Vestiva i colli aus Palestrinas fünftem Buch wird hier in einer kammermusikalischen Trio-Fassung nach dem Vorbild von Bartolomeo de Selma y Salaverde (1638) präsentiert. Die Violine führt die helle, singende Sopranstimme mit klarer Leichtigkeit, das Violoncello vereint Alto und Tenor in warmem, tragendem Klang – teils oktaviert, teils im Wechsel, um die polyphonen Imitationen lebendig zu halten. Das Cembalo legt mit zurückhaltender Generalbassaussetzung das harmonische Fundament. So entsteht Die Hügel in Grün: eine intime Miniatur, in der Palestrinas kontrapunktische Meisterschaft auf die Klangwelt des frühen Barock trifft – ein melancholischer Spaziergang durch grüne Hügel, getragen von Renaissance-Klarheit und barocker Wärme.
