Fun and Rewarding to Play!
I absolutely love playing this Michael W. Smith piece in our community band! As a Grade 3 arrangement, it's totally achievable for a weekend player like me, but still sounds fantastic and full. Jay Bocook did a great job capturing the 'dignified and proud' feeling from the original instrumental CD. It's truly enjoyable and a great contemporary addition to our repertoire.

Masterful Orchestration for Young Band
Jay Bocook's arrangement of 'Freedom' is a superb Grade 3 score for concert band. The orchestration is masterful, skillfully balancing the contemporary feel with dignity. Each section has engaging and supportive parts, creating a full, rich texture without overburdening young musicians. The melodic lines are beautifully carried across the ensemble, ensuring a powerful and cohesive performance. Highly recommend this Hal Leonard gem.
