This gentle arrangement is set in the key of F major, beginning on the upbeat middle C. (A very singable key) Younger flute player might shy from Low as a starting note but the determined flautist is always up for that challenge! Flute and harp compliment each other with melodic phrases and lullaby-emotional emphasis throughout. It is transparent accompaniment, never clumpy and therefore the addition of a second flute part (optional) will not crowd the sound textures.
