At the time of composing this piece, I had recently played in my high schools pit orchestra and we performed the Addams Family musical. I really enjoyed the music that we performed and a large part of the inspiration came from the "Tango" towards the end. I imagined the forces of dark and light colliding to represent the story of this piece.
