Ein rhythmischer Drive und ein permanenter Wechsel des Pulses jagen in Hochstgeschwindigkeit (180 Schlage pro Minute) voruber. Die Struktur verdichtet sich zu einer Studie uber einen Akkord, der im Prinzip das gesamte Stuck hindurch variiert, aber in seinem Tonmaterial unverandert bleibt. Bis sich schliesslich das Stuck verdichtet zu einem sechs-stimmigen Kanon, der von der ersten Violine bis zum dritten Violoncello wandert und dabei zwischen Dur- und Moll-Terz pendelt.
