This beautiful duet by Stephen Schwartz comes from the wonderful Dreamworks animated classic The Prince Of Egypt and is sung as the Hebrews find their confidence to follow Moses out of Egypt to the Promised Land. It was sung in the film by Michelle Pfeiffer and Sally Sworsky but was also recorded by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey for the end credits and released as an iconic chart topping single.
This arrangement is in the original film soundtrack key, configured for soprano and high-baritone soloists, with optional SATB chorus, but it can be sung by two female soloists if desired, or even as a solo.
This version is a lush dramatic orchestral soundscape which would be suitable for any symphonic concert with vocalists celebrating Film and/or Musicals (since it transferred to the West End stage in 2020).
Suitable for a professional or advanced intermediate ensemble.
