This is a Grade 3 Big Band arrangement of the Beatles 1967 hit from the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hears Club Band album. Originally written by Paul when he was about 14 in 1956. For the recording, the song was recorded in a key different from the final version; it was sped up at the request of McCartne to make his voice sound younger. As it is in the orignal version arranged by George Martin in wheich the Clarinet was a predominant intrumental voice, this chart features Clarinet on the main melody and written or improvised solo. In addition, it also features a written or improvised Trumpet solo with the Lead Trumpet range up to G above the treble staff. Written in the original Cut Time feel of 2 it is a swing chart aimed at an intermediate band level suitable for high school and collge bands and sure to be a crowd favourite.
