I'm so glad I bought this!
I am a mature beginner on cello, having taken up this challenge in the 'autumn years' of my life...I love Christmas music, with all the familiar carols, but it's nice to try something a bit different too? All the tunes in this book are lovely; some are easier to play than others, but I will grow into them, as I continue to learn.The play-along CD is very useful, as it has a number of tracks for each tune, including a slower version, to use while learning.You play along with harpsichord and other Baroque era instruments, so feel you have stepped back in time!:)

Easy?
To my surprise there is a big gap in levels in the book. Some pieces can be played by someone who has had 5 lessons, other are more suitable for second year. Too bad there was no way to check the pieces inside on-line. Who suggested the Easy, written behind the title? It is nice to see a continuo version with a piano part.
