Excellent Edition for High Voice Students
This Hal Leonard edition of 'Gesu Bambino' for high voice is a superb teaching tool. The arrangement is clear, and the 12 pages offer a manageable length for students at an intermediate level. nice arrangement
i thought since it said “or cello” that maybe it was written out in bass or tenor……but no worries, cellist read treble also .

gesu bambino - high voice
Loved the accompaniment. I changed some of the words back to the original. I would definitely recommend it. I sang it as a church solo the first Sunday of Dec. It was an excellent song to start out the season.

Nice version of Christmas classic song
Gesu Bambino ['When blossoms flower'd mid the snow', the text is in English] is a Christmas Classic in Catholic churches and the refrain echoes the chorus of Adeste Fideles. Pietro You, the composer, was the organist at St. Patrick's Cathedral in N.Y. in the '30's. This version also works with any C solo instrument [e.g. oboe] playing the voice part in a melodic duet with the organ. This edition includes a removable page for the ad libitum violinist to play from, but the words aren't included, so 2 copies are needed if a vocalist is going to sing it.
