Tumbas de sos gigantes (Giants’ grave) is the name given by local people and archaeologists to a type of Sardinian megalithic gallery grave built during the Bronze Age by the Nuragic civilization. Inspired by this idea, I created a piece built out of motivic building blocks which are not unlike the honeycomb structure of the actual tomb. The piece is dedicated to Cristiano Porqueddu.
Tumbas de sos gigantes (tombe des géants) est le nom donné par les habitants locaux et les archéologues à un type de tombe-galerie mégalithique sarde construite à l’âge du bronze par la civilisation nuragique. Inspiré par cette idée, j’ai créé une pièce construite à partir de blocs de construction motiviques qui ne sont pas sans rappeler la structure en nid d’abeille de la tombe réelle. La pièce est dédiée à Cristiano Porqueddu.
