Middle and High schoolers will enjoy imagining a weekend plan to visit the local haunted house with friends! Of course, they'll pick out their costumes and get all dressed up for their outing. Will they make it all the way through the haunted house? Or will they be too scared to make it to the exit?
This 3/4 piece in G minor reminds me of the Alfred Hitchcock theme song. It give the impression of tiptoeing through a spooky house with light staccatos throughout. Students will be challenged by the key signature (but lots of hints are included for those E-flats), left hand melody with right hand accompaniment, and staccato chromatic passages.
