The Most Important Composition For Solo Clarinet
I have had the good fortune to know Dr. Husa and have many conversations about this work, which I have performed and taught numerous times. The music is contemporary, yet employs folk melodies from Husa's fatherland, Czechoslovakia. There is romance, dance, contemporary techniques (achievable by advanced high school players), and real excitement.Consider That This Work Is The Most Important Composition For Solo Clarinet Since Stravinsky's Three Pieces (1919)
