Remarkable!
This first book has taught me concepts about playing the piano that were taught me in the standard texts. I wish I had been taught how to play the piano using this method.

The best available
As an experienced piano professor and teacher of serious students, this is my usual beginner text. There are other books of similar quality--but not available in the U.S. The literature (yes, literature) in this book is of great musical value, and both hands work equally. No dumbing down: hands move all over the keyboard, fingerings are sophisticated. After this book, students are ready to move into AMBach's Notebook and little Schumann, Tchaikovsky pieces, and sonatinas.
