The Pirates of Penzance
Among the most-recognized of the Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, this edition of Pirates provides a good piano reduction of Sullivan's wonderful music and the entire script, helping you to enjoy Gilbert's topsy-turvey view of things. AND it provides you with a history of Pirates, good information on the librettist and the composer, and, because it is a book with a rugged spine, it should provide you with an excellent medium for you to enjoy Pirates whenever you wish.If you don't read music, there is a complete recording on YouTube. Except for dumping one verse from a second act song (apparently for time, since it was originally a vinyl recording), it's the real thing, as this edition of The Pirates of Penzance shows.
