Moving & Achievable for Adult Choirs
I absolutely love singing this piece from 'We Were Soldiers'! As an adult choir member, the Grade 3 difficulty for SATB divisi feels very achievable without being boring. Benjamin Harlan's arrangement really captures the emotional depth of the original. It's so rewarding to sing a piece that sounds so profound and respectful, making our choir feel accomplished. Highly recommend for any community or church choir.

Excellent Choral Teaching Piece
This Grade 3 SATB divisi arrangement of 'The Mansions of the Lord' is superb for student choirs. The Mansions of the Lord
I cry every time I hear this song. It is beautiful. The arrangement is quite simple, but the splits in each part are a challenge for my choir as I don't have a lot of singers for the lower parts and few of my singers read music well. I highly recommend this song for use at Memorial Day or Veterans' Day programs.

Best Sung in Church
My choir is about to learn this piece after I heard it on the Film, We were Soldiers. To achieve the right acoustics and atmosphere it is best sung in a Church. A powerful piece of music to instil pride and satisfaction in a choir and leave your audience in awe. Without doubt one of the best short modern choral pieces of today. Well done to the composer, lyricist and arranger. Given the choice I would have the male voice choir sing this but if you over balance the Basses and Tenors against the Sops and Altos you can achieve pretty much the same result.

The Mansions of the Lord
Our church choir just sang this for Memorial Day. It was impossible for us to sing it as slow as seen on utube; emotions got the best of us! However, the words HAD to come out...so beutifully haunting; respectful like we've never heard.
