Voor een Brit is 'tea-time' heilig; dat probeerde David Jackson in deze originele compositie voor harmonieorkest uit te beelden. David Jackson werd in Londen geboren en studeerde af aan het militair muziekconservatorium van Kneller Hall voor hobo, saxofoon, compositie en orkestratie. In 1976 werd hij lid van de Alamein Staff Band van het Royal Tank Regiment. Hij dirigeert diverse blaasorkesten. Van zijn hand werd reeds 'Suntan' bij ons uitgegeven. Ook dit werk brengt 'some English flavour' in het repertoire.

In everyday life in Great Britain 'tea-time' plays a rather important role and this is what Jackson tried to suggest in this original wind band composition. Jackson was born in 1957 and graduated from the 'Kneller Hall' military school of music where he studied the oboe, the saxophone, arranging and composing for band. In 1976 he joined the army as a musician with the 'Alamein Staff Band of the Royal Tank Regiment'. He actually conducts several wind bands. We already published his succesful band piece 'Sun-Tan' and here is a new piece that adds some British 'flavour' to the wind band repertoire.

Toute le monde sait que pour les anglais le 'tea-time' est sacré et c'est ce que David Jackson essaie d'évoquer dans cette composition originale pour orchestre d'harmonie. David Jackson est né en 1957 et il est diplômé du conservatoire de musique militaire de Kneller Hall où il a étudié le hautbois, le saxophone, la composition et l'orchestration.Dès 1976 il est engagé comme musicien dans la musique militaire britannique 'Alamein Staff Band of the Royal Tank Regiment'. Il dirige plusieurs orchestres à vent. Nous avions déjà édité avec succès sa composi-tion 'Suntan', voici une oeuvre qui ajoute un peu de parfum 'British' au répertoire.

Es ist bekannt, dass in Grossbritannien die Teepause sehr wichtig ist und eigentlich zu einem täglichen Ritual geworden ist. Das hat David Jackson in dieser Komposition suggerieren wollen. Jackson wurde 1957 geboren und er absolvierte die Militärmusikschule 'Kneller Hall', wo er Oboe, Saxophon und Blasorchesterorchestrierung studierte. Ab 1976 war er Militärmusiker bei dem Musikkorps 'Alamein Staff Band of the Royal Tank Regiment'. Er dirigiert verschiedene englische Blasorchester. Wir hatten schon sein erfolgreiches Stück 'Sun-Tan' verlegt und hier gibt es nun ein neues Originalwerk, das einen typischen britischen Farbton zum Repertoire hinzufügt.
