Suntan was written during a visit to Cyprus. In a jaunty melody, it attempts to reflect some of the sunshine and warmth of the small mediterranean island.

Suntan a été composé après une visite de l'île de Chypre; le compositeur essaie, au moyen de cette élégante mélodie, de suggérer la chaleur et le soleil qui règnent sur cette île de la Méditerranée.

Suntan ist während einer Reise auf der Insel Zypern komponiert worden. Mit der eleganten Melodie versuchter der Komponist die Sonnen und die Wärme dieses kleinen Insel im Mittelmeer darzustellen.
