"Syncopentamic" is a word I coined after being inspired by Joplin's rags and ragtime waltzes. It simply means syncopation in a meter of 5. The melody is based on the Neapolitan Lydian synthetic scale. The form is palindromic (ABCBA). Sections A and E mirror image each other as do B and D.
