The D major lyrical melody in the opening section is contrasted nicely with a chordal middle section in the key of B-flat. The 2 vs 3, double thirds, and extended L.H. arpeggios require the skills of a late intermediate pianist. The andante con moto tempo makes it great preparatory literature for the Chopin nocturnes.

Fits the mood of this piece nicely
Lovely piece with some level of difficulty with the 2 against 3 rhythm in the middle section. Actually, fairly easy for the class that it is placed in for the NFMC Junior festival.
