Delightful and accessible
The works of American composer Amy Beach have been neglected for too long. This is an excellent set, and each piece can be performed individually as well. They are in a late 19th century style similar to Edward MacDowell; a couple seem a bit dated but most are fresh and accessible. Students who can play Bach Inventions or Clementi Sonatinas can handle most of the pieces.
