This facsimile of an original by Jean-Marie Leclair is part of our French classical music collection. Edition : Paris, l'Auteur, Boivin, Leclair, 1743. Preface by Jean Saint-Arroman: the ornamentation of Leclair's concertos. Original edition in separate parts: Violino di concertino - violino primo - violino secondo - alto viola - continuo. In two volumes, the twelve famous Leclair concertos opus VII and Opus X for violin and string orchestra. The third concerto of opus VII may also be played by flute or oboe. Each of the two prefaces deals separately with questions of interpretation (terminology, ornamentation, performers).
Collection supervised by the musicologist Jean Saint-Arroman, professor at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse of Paris and at the CEFEDEM Ile de France (Training Centre for Music Teachers). He is the author of the majority of our prefaces and has also been involved in library searches.
