By Randol Alan Bass
Audience Sing-Along for SATB choir with piano or organ or full orchestra or Reduced orchestra (3333 4331 timp 3 perc hp pno stgs)

SKU: EC.RBM-113

Composed by Randol Alan Bass. Multi-Movement/Large Choral Work. Christmas, Sacred, 21st Century. Choral score. Randol Bass Music #RBM-113. Published by Randol Bass Music (EC.RBM-113).

This arrangement was commissioned by the Boston Pops Orchestra in 1999 and is designed for use as a Christmas carol sing-along — with optional audience participation. The work begins with a short fanfare, leads directly into the carol sequence, and concludes with a brief choral-orchestral flourish.

The carols contained in the arrangement (in this order) are as follows:
O, Come, All Ye Faithful
Away In a Manger
The First Noël
Joy To the World
Silent Night
Hark, the Herald Angels Sing

The length of the rendition may be adjusted by altering the observation of repeated passages. (Each carol contains two verses, with first- and second-endings.) There are also provisions for excising entirely Joy To the World from the running order.

In addition to the choral music, there exists a “lead sheet” (see below), which may be downloaded and duplicated as desired – either for the use of choral ensembles or in audience situations where the use of choral parts is not practical.
