Seixas was an eighteenth century Portuguese composer. He was writing music in Portugal at the same time Bach was in Germany, Scarlatti in Italy, and Handel in England. His keyboard music is definitely from the Baroque period, but he has a slightly different 'spin' than his contemporaries in other countried.
