A modern transcription of the Rondeau by Marin Marais that has long been misattributed to Lully and as a Gavotte (Suzuki violin and viola Book 2 and Suzuki cello Book 3).
In this transcription from the original score I have arranged the piece for viola and viola continuo, translated the original ornament markings into modern equivalents, added a piano part and changed the octave of certain sections. The French style at the time would have been to play all quavers as 'swung'.
Sheet music includes solo viola part, viola continuo part, & piano accompaniment part (which includes the continuo part in the left hand). The piece also works well as a viola duet with no piano.
