Glad I found this book!
This book is a keeper! The harmonies are beautiful, (not strange). I know I will use most of them. My favorite is May The Mind of Christ, My Savior I like that the arrangements are not too showy, so you can think about the words.

Halberg is the creme de la creme
I have built quite an enormous music library in my 30 years as a church musician. For sacred piano settings, there is none more gifted than Virginia Halberg (though Nancy Muskrat is right up there, too). She flawlessly selects the most lyrical, enduring tunes, some well known and loved, some deserving of more exposure, and sets them with great sensitivity to text. Her masterful compositional technique is rich and full without being muddy or overly theatrical. Her well-crafted settings illuminate these brilliant hymns and incorporate all the warmth and brilliance a piano can bring to the worship setting, for your congregation - or your own personal meditation. PLEASE, VIRGINIA, PUBLISH MORE! YOU, TOO, NANCY!

Wonderful!
I like all of the songs in this book but my favorite is Near to the Heart of God. It is the best arrangement of this song that I have come across. Beautiful and flowing.

Most beautiful arrangement
I wish more people would bother to write a review for this! Very beautiful arrangement. Relies on running notes and will need practice. It's a great book for all pianists who desire to play with such harmony. The music touched my heart.
