This is a wonderful new collection of piano pieces by Schumann. It contains 17 pieces in the order of difficulty. Henle rates each piece on a scale of 1 to 6, what they call from easy to medium level.Works include 2 Intermezzi (op.4), 2 Romances (op. 26 and 28), and the gorgeous Arabeske in C major. What I particularly like is how they've included for each work a 2-part headnote with practical historic and technical info. I've not seen anything like this before and found it extremely helpful and enlightening. There is fingering and pedal instructions and the quality of the printing and binding are excellent, making it easy to use and read.I'm new to playing Schumann and so I'm delighted to have chosen this collection.
